Abstract

In this chapter we offer a narrative of ‘care-full collectives’ in education. The narrative is assembled by weaving together the ‘data stories’ of a doctoral inquiry with the re-collections of the authors over time. These data stories are interpretations of encounters had by three teenaged boys caring-with their more-than-human, creek-side community in Narrm Melbourne. The young people were students in a public high school when they participated in the doctoral inquiry conducted by the first author (Alicia), whose project was supervised by the other two authors (John and Jeana).
